Worship Information
- Anglican Online Hymnal - This site is an online hymnal which will eventually contain over 3000 texts and MIDI files as used in many parts of the Anglican Communion throughout the world. Included are public domain texts from twelve Anglican hymnals used in the second half of the twentieth century (and still used today).
- Book of Common Prayer - A wonderful site showing all of the Prayer Books from the beginning of the Episcopal Church in America.
- Episcopal Church Calendar of the Church Year - The full year showing the festivals and feasts honoring the Saints.
- The Cyber Hymnal - This site has over 2,400 Christian hymns and Gospel songs from many denominations. You'll find lyrics, scores, MIDI files, pictures, history, and more. This worship and teaching resource is provided as a public service.
- The Daily Office - Welcome! The Online Daily Office exists to give busy people a way to particpate in Morning and Evening Prayer including the readings and psalms for each day (along with a bit of music!). You will also find Noonday Prayer, Compline, and Devotions for Individuals and Families here. These rites are based on The Book of Common Prayer.
- The Lectionary - A collection of Lectionary resources for the Episcopal Church.
Educational
- DOCC Program - This program is a mix of ordained leaders and trained lay leaders or moderators. The course consists of 26 weekly presentations on our faith. A good program for "_blank"comers and old timers alike. The course is based on program of the National Cathedral.
- EfM (Education for Ministry) is a program of theological education-at-a-distance of the School of Theology of the University of the South. Students sign up one year at a time for this four-year program. It covers the basics of a theological education in the Old and "_blank" Testaments, church history, liturgy, and theology. Students meet regularly, usually once a week, in seminars under the guidance of trained mentors. The program grants a certificate at the completion of the four years and 18 Continuing Education Units for each year's work.
- EpiscopalCafe.com - This is a blog that talks about what is going on in the Episcopal Church.
- Gospels in Glass: This web site is a companion to the book, Gospels in Glass published in 1999. It contains a collection of church stained glass windows that display the saints and the gospel stories. The presentation is sponsored by the Missouri Historical Society. OutReach
- Episcopal City Mission - This is the only chaplaincy program authorized to serve the youth in juvenile detention centers for St.Louis City and County and at Lakeside Center for Boys and Girls.
- United Thank Offering (UTO) - It is the mission of the United Thank Offering to raise the consciousness of the whole church to the daily discipline of offering thanks to God through the use of the blue box and to distribute the fruits of those thank offerings.
- Contemplative Outreach is the opening of mind and heart - our whole being - to God, the Ultimate Mystery, beyond thoughts, words and emotions, whom we know by faith is within us, closer than breathing, thinking, feeling and choosing; even closer than consciousness itself.
- Millennium Development Goals - Welcome to globalgood.org, a resource portal for Episcopalians working together to support the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and to reduce global poverty .
This web site seeks to help you engage these efforts, which frame the justice and peace work that General Convention has designated as the Episcopal Church's top mission priority for 2007-2009. Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori further defines the Church's first priority as “the kind of deed-based evangelism that shows the world the good "_blank"s of God's love through the actions of Christians. We cannot speak much in the way of good "_blank"s to people who are starving or dying of preventable disease or living in slums.”
- Nurses for Newborns - We provide a safety net for families most at risk; to help prevent infant mortality, child abuse and neglect through home based programs that provide education, healthcare and positive parenting skills.
