AnnouncementsWorship - Activity - OutReach - Calendar January 22, 2012 3rd Sundayafter Epiphany
To our guests and visitors: We welcome you today and cordially invite you to join us in our worship services. Our custom is to stand to sing and praise God; to sit for instruction; and to kneel for prayer. All baptized Christians are welcome to receive the Bread of Heaven and the Cup of Salvation at God's Altar. If you do not wish to receive the wine from the common cup, the first chalice bearer will offer you the intinction cup into which you dip the bread. If you do not wish to receive Communion, you may come up for a blessing. Live Plantings can still be given for the Lester Crancer Memorial Prayer Garden. Sign-up sheets are located on the bulletin board in the Lounge. Annual Church Meeting: The Annual Church meeting will take place immediately after the service next Sunday. Please make plans to attend this important meeting. Penny Outreach: Please continue to donate aluminum cans for Outreach. We use the money at Christmas time for community outreach. Trinity Food Pantry: Bob and Audrey Moller make regular pick-ups and deliveries of food to the Trinity Food Pantry in the Central West End, but they would like to make the most of their trips by having a full barrel of food to deliver - so go through your own pantry and find canned or boxed foods that you can spare, or when grocery shopping, buy an extra item or two for the barrel. Protein-rich items are especially welcome. Please bring donations for St. Martha's Hall to St. Matthew's on Sunday. St. Martha's Hall is a non-for-profit agency which provides shelter care programs for abused women and thier children. In season clothing is needed (underwear, socks, pajamas, jeans/pants, shirts/sweaters). The greatest need is for size 8-14 boy's clothing.
